A while back, I mentioned a stock image/photography site. It was my intention to become a consistent contributor there, but so far, I’ve earned literally nothing from what I have shared there.
So, that’s a bit disappointing, especially after I was so invested and hopeful. I don’t want to be wasting my time, spinning my wheels, I’ve done that too often before.
Maybe I’m too impatient, but I do have a family.
I need to be spending my time as much as possible doing things that will get results and provide for them.
Am I giving up on the site entirely? No, but it won’t be as high priority as I originally intended. From what I’ve seen thus far, my time is better spent elsewhere.
Good morning, it’s 3ish in the morning, and I am wide awake (slept earlier, so I’m okay mentally, not fatigued.)
I decided to get some writing in while I can. I had the most bizarre dream earlier, a borderline nightmare. In the dream, there were people on a road trip, and some of the roads were all trippy, w/wild upside down loops and such as one might see on a rollercoaster track.
Other elements of the dream would have fit well in an obstacle course. Such as weird canyons w/crazy drop offs and such.
There was also a diner in the dream where unusual and questionable food items were served. Like on an episode of fear factor or something is the best way I can describe it.
Hello again, everyone,
I had a very productive day (once my hands felt better.) I went back to trying out a new (to me) art program I’ve really been enjoying. I have fresh content to share on my niche art blog as well, so looking forward to bringing those to you all if you happen to follow me there.
Also, had a good, albeit brief conversation with a fellow artist friend of mine.
Since my son is out of school through the weekend, I’ll be getting as much time in with him as I can. Right now, he’s asleep though. My wife suggested we take him to a food truck tomorrow, I think he’ll love that.
Anyway, going to wrap this up for now.
So, as you may have noticed if you follow my niche art blog, I went on a sharing spree there yesterday. I also shared several other places, and I am, if I’m honest, in a lot of pain right now in regards to my hands. I don’t think I’ll be spending a lot of time punching the keys today. I’ll be back when I’m feeling up to it, thanks in advance for your patience.
I heard about a man charging his EV (electric vehicle) for 10 hours, and it only reaching 20% power. Whether you are an EV fan, opponent, or indifferent either way, you’d have to admit that is a sad display of inefficiency.
I don’t know what caused the issue, but it’s not the first concerning thing I’ve heard about EV’s in general.
Am I discouraging the use of EV’s? You may wonder. I’d simply advise people weigh the pros and cons, research for themselves.
Personally, I’m not buying one anytime soon.
After seeing a video on a video sharing site, regarding sheep shearing, I decided to look more into it. Shearing has been around for ages, and as I understand it, modern shearing methods & technology are generally safe for the sheep, though no technology or method is perfect of course.
Human error (or technical malfunction) can cause accidents & injury, but the benefits (to humans, in regards to resources, and sheep themselves in regards to health & wellness) are well known to outweigh the risks. I would never advise anyone without proper training shear a sheep, at least not without professional supervision.
This of course is common sense.
I’m skeptical often of people who put accusations of abuse and such into so called memoirs etc. that they’re writing for profit. Especially if they NEVER made the claims until they were trying to drum up interest in said books.
It’s a well known, albeit unfortunate fact that in our society, scandal sells.
Also, claiming victimhood of some form or another is en vogue these days, unfortunately. People who claim victimhood for attention or profit do a disservice to people who’ve actually been abused, and they ruin lives and legacies w/their false accusations as well, sometimes irreparably.
It’s also interesting to me how many times, such accusations are made after the accused has died, and can’t challenge (or at least answer) such charges. In such cases, it’s the family of the accused that suffers the fallout.
I just read about an investigative journalist being stabbed to death outside his home in Las Vegas.
His name was Jeff German.
According to what I read, the perpetrator is still being pursued. I didn’t know anything about German prior to the crime, but my hope is that the circumstances of his death aren’t the main thing he’s remembered for.
He was actually, (according to further reading) quite a skilled individual in his field. I do hope his family gets swift justice.
On it’s own, a single small gig won’t give you the stability financially that you need and deserve. It’s a shame how many people struggle financially, it really ought not be that way. I have always viewed money as a tool, not something we should become Mastered by.
The question then, is how to gain stability & freedom, one way is be creative, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Try out a multitude of different things, it’s wise to always have a plan B to your plan B, as the saying goes.
Lately, I have been trying out a series of receipt apps, on their own (individually) I know they won’t necessarily amount to much, but since I am trying several in tandem with each other, the collective is bound to add up. I still don’t expect to literally make a fortune w/them alone, but they will supplement my other endeavors at least.
Good morning again, you all.
Had a great family outing/date night with my wife yesterday.
I don’t care how long a couple has been married, it’s important to keep the fire raging, as the saying goes. Many people START with romancing their spouse, when things are brand new, and they let it wane over time.
They allow themselves to start seeing things as a chore w/their spouse rather than there being the deep and abiding connection and Love there should be.
I’m not saying marriage is all sunshine and unicorns 24/7, but there is no reason for marriage to become stale either. It’s a choice what we make a priority, and if your spouse ISN’T high priority, why be married at all? Just worth thinking about.
