New Morning Notes

Every writer, at some time or another wonders if all their best work is done. They wonder if they’ve murdered the last ember of their creativity, or they wonder if they were ever really any good at the craft at all. My point is, doubts and questions for a writer are as natural as the hues of leaves changing every year. If you have questions, if you have doubts, those don’t have to be the end of days to your writing career.

Step away, take a breath, examine your heart, your soul, your mind, your previous work, gain some perspective. Never force creativity, because forced creativity will make your writing dull, lifeless. Passion matters as much as substance. Go out & live, deliberately. Live as if today is the last set of heartbeats you’ll get. None besides God knows how many we’ll get. If you think of, and live life as a blessing rather than a burden, you’ll be better off.

In your writing, and in general.

Blogging Your Way

Some people use their blogs to send out “micro-shares” to their readers, short blurb-like posts like they do with their “status” on social media. Others may choose to write full length articles, still OTHERS may choose to mix it up & do a combination.

I personally would read either/or, I find neither choice to be inherently bad. It’s really a matter of personal taste, rather than either technique being a set in stone law of blogging.

Heart Failure & Flu Like Symptoms

I just came across some stunning information. This may be common knowledge to some, but I share about it for the rest. Evidently, heart failure can cause flu like symptoms. I am not trying to fear-monger, or have everyone & their mother panic-Googling on the subject.

I do advise that if you have flu like symptoms, you have yourself professionally evaluated in case it IS something more serious.

Fellow Bloggers, Aspire To Leave Your Readers BETTER OFF Than When They First Came To Your Pages

Everybody has a congregation. People within their sphere of influence. When a blogger communicates to readers, he (or she) is talking to their congregation, in a sense.

The question, is are they communicating something worthwhile? Are they bettering the lives of those they are communicating to?

These are things worth thinking about for any blogger. Now, not every post has to have a serious tone, there’s a place for things such as humor, entertainment, etc. I’m not slamming these things at all.

Ultimately, a blogger wants their readers to leave their pages better off than when they first came to them. Whether it’s through having learned something, gaining inspiration, or any other capacity possible.

A Short Note of Advice

We ought to be careful and prayerful about the people we allow into our lives. We ought to actively avoid those who are detrimental to us, those who are poisonous to our well being. I’ve heard it said, “bad company corrupts good character” and that’s an important thing to realize & keep in mind.
