In Memory of Sharon Mary Miller-Dutton

Today was a celebration of life ceremony for my stepmother Sharon, who recently passed away from cancer. She had been doing quite a bit better, the turn downward was pretty recent and sudden.

I am thankful my father got the time he did with her, and she will be missed, but forever Loved.

Given that we live some distance away, my wife, son, and I weren’t able to make it to the celebration of life, but my family (siblings) who were able to were gracious enough to Livestream and record it so we wouldn’t miss out.

Below is an artistic rendering I made in her memory:

Morning Notes

Good morning, Dear Ones.

I am thrilled with the wins I’ve been experiencing lately in my life. The excellent things keeping my focus also have been therapeutic as well. I don’t have a long share this morning, but I haven’t smiled as much as I am lately, in ages.

I am so thankful to the One from Whom all blessings flow.

Great Update!

I’ve been on a roll sharing creative content on a brand new (to me) app. A friend of mine introduced my wife to it & she invited me. I’ll have my link to it up in the near future (once my account gets verified.) So far I’m loving it, and not only can I post art, but I can post photos, videos, and snippets of my poetry as well. It’s like the perfect creative outlet, if anything can be called such a thing.

Today’s Notes

What’s new friends? It’s been a great day today. I had a low carb coffee and a bunless Whopper for brunch. I feel like I’ve got more energy than I’ve had in ages.

Also, been hanging out with my wife while my son is in school. It’s about time to go get him.

In other notes: I had the shortest conversation I’ve ever had with my father earlier. It was only like 10 minutes or so. He updated me on how his wife is doing, she’s okay overall, despite still having some med issues.

As you all know if you follow my niche art blog, I continue to be on a roll there. Anyway, I don’t want to ramble too much, so I’ll go ahead and wrap this up.

Belated Afternoon Notes

It has been a very chill day. I have a few new art pieces to share to my niche art blog, which I will in a while. Earlier, I watched “Home Improvement” while I was eating a late breakfast with my family.

I’m back on low carb, and also drinking a lot more water as well.

My wife is taking my son to a picnic thing for his grandma’s work soon, so I’m sure he’ll enjoy that. I don’t know what else is going on today, guess we’ll just take it as it comes.

Morning Notes

I’ve been on a roll with the new art, and the options with the new program seem endless. I even have at least one person interested in a possible buy, so if that goes through it’ll be awesome.

In other notes, my wife has an appointment shortly, and then we’ll go have lunch together. Currently, we are watching shows and I am trying to think of new design ideas.

I’m not sure what all else the day will bring, but hopefully great things.

Thoughts

A while back, I mentioned a stock image/photography site. It was my intention to become a consistent contributor there, but so far, I’ve earned literally nothing from what I have shared there.

So, that’s a bit disappointing, especially after I was so invested and hopeful. I don’t want to be wasting my time, spinning my wheels, I’ve done that too often before.

Maybe I’m too impatient, but I do have a family.

I need to be spending my time as much as possible doing things that will get results and provide for them.

Am I giving up on the site entirely? No, but it won’t be as high priority as I originally intended. From what I’ve seen thus far, my time is better spent elsewhere.

Good Morning (and Notes On A Trippy Dream)

Good morning, it’s 3ish in the morning, and I am wide awake (slept earlier, so I’m okay mentally, not fatigued.)

I decided to get some writing in while I can. I had the most bizarre dream earlier, a borderline nightmare. In the dream, there were people on a road trip, and some of the roads were all trippy, w/wild upside down loops and such as one might see on a rollercoaster track.

Other elements of the dream would have fit well in an obstacle course. Such as weird canyons w/crazy drop offs and such.

There was also a diner in the dream where unusual and questionable food items were served. Like on an episode of fear factor or something is the best way I can describe it.

Evening Notes

Hello again, everyone,

I had a very productive day (once my hands felt better.) I went back to trying out a new (to me) art program I’ve really been enjoying. I have fresh content to share on my niche art blog as well, so looking forward to bringing those to you all if you happen to follow me there.

Also, had a good, albeit brief conversation with a fellow artist friend of mine.

Final notes:

Since my son is out of school through the weekend, I’ll be getting as much time in with him as I can. Right now, he’s asleep though. My wife suggested we take him to a food truck tomorrow, I think he’ll love that.

Anyway, going to wrap this up for now.
